Position Details
We’re looking for a reliable and committed Cleaner / Kitchen Hand to join our Palm Lake Resort Hervey Bay team. Your attention to detail will help keep our resort clean and enjoyable for residents and visitors.
This is a full-time role, working 38 hours per week across the resort’s daily cleaning schedule and also assisting in the preparation of meal service on Tuesday lunch and Thursday evenings. Therefore, your work will help keep the resort facilities clean, presentable, and organised for residents and visitors at all times.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain common areas such as the pool room, office, hairdresser, gym, craft room, clubhouse, and library.
- Also, dust, vacuum, mop, and remove rubbish.
- Keep toilet facilities clean and hygienic.
- Clean internal windows and keep equipment such as refrigerators and microwaves spotless.
- Keep kitchen areas tidy by emptying dishwashers and wiping surfaces.
- Replenish supplies such as coffee, tea, and other consumables.
- Identify and remove hazards, such as slippery floors or obstacles, to help ensure safety.
- Clean stock and display homes for potential purchasers.
- Complete weekly tasks such as cleaning light switches, power points, door frames, and cobwebs.
- Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation and service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen and dining areas.
- Wash, sanitise, and store dishes, utensils, and equipment properly.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
- Support stock rotation and help receive and unpack deliveries.
- Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste safely and hygienically.
- Clean food preparation areas, fridges, ovens, and other kitchen equipment.
- Follow workplace health and safety guidelines and report hazards promptly.
