Position Summary
- Receive merchandise and place it in the correct department.
- Mark merchandise correctly for placement in the facility.
- Deliver merchandise to the appropriate department.
- Stack received merchandise on pallets or carts.
- Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
- Inform the manager or supervisor when stock levels are low.
- Receive deliveries.
- Store perishable items correctly and rotate stock.
- Inspect deliveries and dates to check freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality throughout case lots.
- Refuse damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
- Follow food safety and handling policies and procedures in all food-related areas.
- Organize, clean, and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains.
- Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash. Place them in the proper storage areas.
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager. Complete safety training and certifications.
Follow all company policies and procedures. Keep your uniform and personal appearance clean and professional. Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
Speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language.
