Ammunition Technician Responsibilities

The Ammunition Technician will be responsible for maintaining accurate ammunition records and ensuring that all materials are handled safely and securely.

Receiving and Storing Ammunition

  • Receive and inspect incoming ammunition shipments.
  • Properly store ammunition according to applicable safety procedures.
  • Ensure ammunition storage areas remain secure and organized.
  • Prevent unauthorized access to ammunition storage areas.

Inventory and Recordkeeping

  • Perform accurate inventory counts.
  • Maintain stock records using electronic systems.
  • Track ammunition usage and stock levels.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, usage, and discrepancies.
  • Request resupply when ammunition levels require replenishment.

Inspection and Safety

  • Conduct routine inspections of stored ammunition.
  • Identify damaged, expired, or otherwise unsuitable ammunition.
  • Follow established safety regulations and handling procedures.
  • Maintain strict compliance with security protocols.

Qualifications

Candidates should have the skills and qualifications necessary to work safely and accurately in a regulated ammunition-management environment.

Education and Experience
