Warehouse Officer Job Responsibilities
The Warehouse/Inventory Officer is responsible for managing inventory procedures and ensuring accurate warehouse operations. Key duties include:
- Monitor inventory stock levels for both food and non-food items.
- Ensure adequate stock availability based on store demand forecasts and historical data.
- Monitor incoming shipments and warehouse arrivals.
- Verify actual stock quantities against packing lists and delivery receipts.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movement, usage, and discrepancies.
- Monitor aging and near-expiry food inventory.
- Report inventory status and investigate stock discrepancies through root cause analysis.
- Supervise inventory staff and ensure company inventory policies are followed.
- Assign tasks to inventory personnel and monitor timely completion.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Research and Development, Operations, and Marketing departments.
- Recommend improved inventory control methods or technologies.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and monthly inventory audits.
- Ensure warehouse activities follow Good Warehousing Practices (GWP) and Warehouse 5S standards.
- Prepare weekly warehouse activity reports, including received consignments, dispatch records, stacking information, and outstanding balances.
- Monitor stock movement into and out of the warehouse.

- Ensure inventory remains physically protected while stored.
Job Requirements
