Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, arc welding, and other welding techniques to fabricate and repair metal structures.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately.
- Prepare metal materials by cutting, grinding, and fitting parts for welding.
- Inspect welded joints and components to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Follow all safety regulations and use PPE correctly during welding operations.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Conduct routine maintenance on welding tools and equipment to ensure functionality.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Welder in construction or manufacturing.
- Strong skills in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
- Good understanding of welding safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- A valid welding certificate such as NC2 is preferred.
