About the Greenfield ATMP Project
This ambitious $100M+ USD greenfield project will establish the region’s most advanced ATMP facility. From concept design to operational readiness, the Executive Project Manager will oversee every detail. The facility will serve as a model of innovation, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence in the ATMP sector.
This role will be based out of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with reporting responsibilities to the President of Germfree, and travel requirements between the US and Saudi Arabia.
Executive Project Manager – Role Summary
As Executive Project Manager, you will serve as the principal leader and single point of accountability for the design, execution, and operational launch of the ATMP facility. You’ll manage a matrixed team of project managers, liaise with global stakeholders, and ensure adherence to CGMP regulatory frameworks.
This role is ideal for a seasoned leader with 10+ years of project management experience in the biopharmaceutical or ATMP sector, a strong command of project controls, and a proven track record of delivering greenfield CGMP facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery of the greenfield ATMP facility in Riyadh.
- Supervise a team of project managers handling design, construction, CQV, and operations.
- Provide regular reporting: earned value management, risk registers, schedules.
- Coordinate monthly executive reviews with Germfree and client teams.
- Manage project budget, timeline, and scope to ensure profitability and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Interface with regulatory authorities and ensure full CGMP compliance.
- Oversee international vendors, consultants, and construction teams.
- Lead risk mitigation strategies and resolve issues affecting delivery or performance.
- Serve as primary contact with client executive team for strategic alignment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- 10+ years’ experience managing large-scale biopharma or CGMP facility projects.
- Proven leadership on at least one greenfield CGMP facility delivery.
- Deep knowledge of ATMP, biologics, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of CQV processes, risk management, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in earned value tracking, scheduling, and international project oversight.
- Available to work Sunday–Thursday to align with Saudi Arabian workweek.
- Willingness to travel internationally every 4–6 weeks.
Preferred Skills
- PMP Certification or equivalent project management credential.
- Experience with international project delivery, especially in the Middle East.
- Knowledge of Arabic (a plus but not mandatory).
- Familiarity with modular cleanroom solutions and advanced facility technologies.
