Responsibilities
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards are maintained in all assigned rooms
- Perform cleaning duties in guest rooms according to the guest’s stay and room status
- Inspect facilities, furniture, and fixtures; report damages to supervisors
- Attend to guest requests and queries courteously and promptly
- Complete Allocation Sheets for all assigned rooms, noting status, linen replaced, and special requests
- Record times of servicing rooms, DND signs, and maintenance issues
- Report unusual incidents, complaints, unauthorized persons, or lost items to supervisors
- Maintain housekeeping pantries, ensuring cleanliness, locked doors, and organized stock
- Sign in/out and restock cleaning equipment; maintain equipment in good working condition
- Vacuum guest floor corridors and maintain throughout the day, including dusting, spot marking, and polishing
- Ensure security of guest information and room access at all times
- Use cleaning chemicals and protective equipment according to Material Safety Data Sheets
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and adopt safe work practices
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and guest satisfaction
- Perform additional duties as requested by the Manager or Supervisor
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience in a 4–5 star hotel
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Understanding of safe use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment
- Knowledge of correct manual handling techniques
- Physically fit and able to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks
- Professional appearance and grooming
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible to work varying shifts as required
