The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) in Qatar is seeking a motivated Research Assistant Job in Qatar specializing in IoT and AI to join the Applied Research, Innovation, and Economic Development Directorate. This role focuses on project Q-Cattle, an integrated AI and IoT framework for sustainable livestock management aimed at improving milk and meat production efficiency in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in IoT systems, AI-driven predictive modeling, and data analysis, along with a passion for applied research and innovation in agriculture.

Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and integrate IoT sensor systems for monitoring livestock health, behavior, and environmental impact.
- Support the creation and deployment of AI-driven predictive models on embedded systems such as ESP32 and Raspberry Pi.
- Monitor real-time data acquisition, ensuring data quality, integrity, and synchronization with cloud storage.
- Design and implement dashboards for intuitive data visualization, real-time alerts, and actionable insights.
- Analyze historical and live data using advanced processing techniques to enable proactive livestock management decisions.
- Draft research outputs, including journal papers, white papers, book chapters, and technical documentation.
- Develop software and algorithms suitable for copyright and patent protection, focusing on AI models, data analysis, and system integration.
- Collaborate with industry partners to implement AI and IoT solutions and evaluate real-world applications on farms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
- Knowledge of IoT systems, sensor integration, and data processing pipelines.
- Proficiency in AI/ML tools and predictive modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with livestock farming or agricultural technologies.
- Experience in data visualization and dashboard development (Power BI, Tableau, or custom platforms).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
