The successful candidate will have a solid background in wet utilities inspection within a PMC or consultancy environment, preferably with prior UAE or GCC project experience. This position will focus on ensuring quality, safety, and compliance on-site while supporting the delivery of critical infrastructure works.


About the Role

The Wet Utilities Inspector will be responsible for the supervision, inspection, and quality assurance of infrastructure works, with a specific focus on wet utilities such as drainage systems, potable water networks, and related civil works. You will work closely with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure all works comply with approved designs, specifications, and international best practices.

This role also involves close monitoring of safety measures, environmental compliance, and technical coordination between disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Attend and review Inspection Requests (IRs) from contractors, responding in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Review submitted shop drawings against contract specifications, statutory requirements, and international best practices.
  • Identify and report any non-compliant works to relevant stakeholders for corrective action.
  • Monitor on-site work quality and assess safety, health, and environmental compliance.
  • Maintain daily site records, including progress photographs, ensuring readiness for inspection.
  • Prepare surveillance reports for deficiencies and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as needed.
  • Ensure effective coordination between civil works and other related disciplines.
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve discipline-related site issues.
  • Oversee wet utilities works, including drainage, potable water networks, and related site development.
  • Support building and facility construction elements of the project where applicable.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as per project requirements.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
